Unequal
Fractured broken-down cracked
The world that I
Would never have imagined
No beauty or ugliness just transaction
I would have had so little to say
I would have written love poems
Sang the joys of living
But sometimes joy falls apart
Like butterfly wings
Gaffled in lifeâs schemes
The joy of living batters
Against the walls
The prisons the barbed wires
That hold the names under
Until their cries
Hail death
So it dies
This relation never really figured out
Always sick with confusion
Fractured by countless misunderstandings
Because there is not enough listening
The coming together
That never takes place
Misses
What it could have been
A house is a little world
A State an entire world
And the world could have been
An uppercase world
If the hearts were not
Reservoirs of so much suffering
Bitterness
Uncertainty
That never open
To language
Until too late
When resentment
Takes possession of the spirits in distress
